I am not sure about global funds, but there is an Irish fund called Bartra Captial run by an well-regarded Irish entrepreneur:
Ttey plan to invest in healthcare upmarket infrastructure. They will then create a range of upmarket developments, catered to the middle and upper middle class, who want the best healthcare for their loved ones.
I like it for a few reasons…
• The long-term demographics look great
• The fund does not rely on underlying asset values for growth
• Ireland is a stable, high income country in the European Union
• They offer very favourable tax deals for foreign investors
The only issue is probably the price tag (and it is a significant issue). Otherwise, I think it would be a great investment.
