Investing Using Artificial Intelligence?

Has anyone heard anything about the rise of using ai for investing?

I’m interested

When you actually break it down, ML is just a bunch of trading algorithms created by humans…

There are definitely options for the average investor to do this at home. For example…

https://quantiacs.com/

https://kite.trade/

I would give one of them a look…

One thing to remember machine learning is used for solving problem previously solved by humans…

It’s probably important to mention that machine learning doesn’t solve anything by itself!

AI is now a buzz-word and a trend which everyone wants to jump on. A bit like bitcoin, every man and his dog is investing in companies which advertise themselves as the next big thing…

If you have expertise in this area already, then I would get out there and built a start-up in this area…

If not, I would just stick to index funds…

When Ben Graham started investing, value-investing was ignored as a reasonable way of earning a profit in the investment world…

However, as time went on the market become more efficient…

I would imagine that the same will happen with AI. In fact, I have no doubt…

It’s possible that an AI-algo fund has a very good run at the market in the meantime though…

In a way, this proves exactly why I avoid anything fancy with my investments - you can let every one else try and beat the market and rise the wave

Also…

Investors rarely mention the productivity boom that will come through the growth of ai and machine learning. This productivity boost is almost certainly going to boon well for investors in the next 20-30 years - without a doubt!
