Is there a difference between socially responsible investing and impact investing?

#1

I am new to this whole thing…

is there a serious difference?

#2

I see both of them falling under the category of social investing…

the idea of social investing is investing in opportunities which will yield a profit while helping a community, or a sector of the economy…

There are different forms of social investing, but many stem around. Link:

• Environmental Sustainability

• Clean Energy

• Infrastructure (Water Infrastructure, Healthcare Infrastructure)

You can invest in these in different ways of course, but mainly through Mutual Funds, ETFs…

You can also invest in bonds, which offer debt to entrepreneurs creating opportunities in these sectors…

An example of this is perhaps Apple’s green bond, issued after Trump left the Paris Climate Agreement
